Circular Economy
Impactive, in partnership with the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), supported the establishment of a Centre of Excellence to incubate circular economy innovations in solid waste management.
Through initiatives like the Blue Innovation Challenge and investment bootcamps, the project trained over 40 youth-led enterprises, created more than 1,070 jobs (59% for women), and introduced digital tools, behaviour change strategies, and peer-to-peer learning to enhance sustainable waste solutions.
